The fastest, easiest way to raise money is using our safe and secure online fundraising tool at Firstgiving.com.
Use the online fundraising tool to develop your individual and/or team fundraising page. Remember - registering for your fundraising page does NOT register you for the plunge. You must register for the Plunge separately.
All you do is create your page (even the least knowledgeable Web users can do it), send an e-mail out to your potential supporters with a link to your page, and watch the money roll in.
By fundraisign online, Bears don't have to worry about collecting cash or checks, adding totals or turning the money in. The Web site does it all for you.
And don't worry, you can even manually add money to your totals if someone does give you cash or a check.
In addition, this site enables members of a team to raise money individually and have their total count toward a team total.
OffLine
It is perfectly acceptable for Bears to raise money offline. Once you have pre-registered just begin collecting money toward your plunge.
You can either turn money into the SODE office as you raise it (we prefer you give it to us in large chunks rather than each time someone sends you a check) or just turn it all in when you register the weekend of the Plunge.
We do not require Bears to submit pledge forms, but you may use one for your records.
Incentives
While every Bear is required to raise a minimum of $50 and will receive the official Polar Bear sweatshirt for doing so, we offer several embroidered incentives for Bears who raise more than $50. Check our list of incentives.
