The inaugural Run to the Plunge 5k race/walk will take place on Saturday, January 31, beginning at 1 p.m., on the Boardwalk outside the Atlantic Sands Hotel.

Runners/walkers will enjoy an oceanfront out-and-back course as they travel north toward the state park along the Boardwalk and Ocean Drive.

Whether you are a serious runner, casual jogger or would just enjoy a brisk walk for a good cause, the Run to the Plunge is the perfect way to warm-up exactly 24 hours before you'll be heading into the cold water!

Registration at the race will open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, under the tent on Rehoboth Avenue near the gazebo.
